Adventures at FabMo: Crafty Chaos with Charlie and Melissa

Adventures at FabMo: Crafty Chaos with Charlie and Melissa

What happens when you send three crafty friends into an upcycled wonderland like FabMo? A lot of excited chatter, a few impulsive grabs, and somehow... almost no photos. Oops.

FabMo is an upcycler's paradise in the bay area - all donation-based, filled with rescued fabrics, trims, and quirky materials just waiting for a second chance at life. It’s also completely volunteer-run, with a mission to save high-quality materials from the landfill. Thanks to their efforts, over 70 tons of materials each year are transformed into artwork, furnishings, decorations, apparel, jewelry, etc.

You do have to make an appointment to go and if you'd like more information here is the link: Fabmo

Another resource that is available if you're not in the bay area, can be accessed here: SewingThroughFog

So, while we didn’t take many photos (too busy rifling through bins), we left FabMo feeling inspired and ready to turn our finds into something fabulous. If you’re a creative looking for materials with history, charm, and endless potential, FabMo’s your spot. Just remember to snap a picture or two for your Instagram. Or don’t—no judgment here!
