One of the best parts of running Makeropolis is seeing the incredible things our customers create. Every vintage button, scrap of fabric, or old postcard finds a new home—and a new story. Here are a few favorites that show just how magical secondhand supplies can be.
A Junk Journaler’s Dream
One customer took a bundle of vintage postcards and book pages and turned them into the most whimsical junk journal, complete with fabric tabs and ribbon ties. Talk about breathing new life into paper that was nearly forgotten.
Quilted With Love
Another customer stitched together a rainbow of scrap fabric into a bold quilt top. The best part? Many of the pieces came from donations that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill.
Mixed-Media Masterpiece
One of our artist friends layered beads, trims, and fabric scraps into a stunning collage on canvas. A little bit of everything became a piece of art that now hangs in her studio.
Why We Love Sharing Your Projects
These stories remind us why Makeropolis exists: to rescue supplies, to inspire creativity, and to keep materials out of the landfill. Every time you share your project, you’re showing the world that secondhand can be extraordinary.
