Let’s be real: every maker has one. Or three. Or, okay, maybe an entire tote full of half-done projects.
Maybe it started with big dreams—an elaborate quilt, a perfectly stitched embroidery sampler, or that “quick little” macramé wall hanging that turned into a full-on tangle. Somewhere along the way, life happened. We lost steam. The thread ran out. A new idea came knocking.
But here’s the thing: those half-finished projects? They’re little time capsules. Each one holds a moment of inspiration, a burst of creativity, and a story worth telling. And just because they’re not “done” doesn’t mean they’re not worth it.
That’s why we started calling them Crafty Crumbs—a celebration of the in-progress, the imperfect, and the possibly-still-very-useful. These pieces still have value, still spark ideas, and still deserve a second (or third) chance.
Maybe your creative spark comes from finishing what someone else started. Maybe you're looking for a base to build on. Or maybe you just want to honor the fact that creativity isn’t always linear—and that’s perfectly okay.
So here’s to the scarves that stop at four inches. The quilt squares waiting for their next neighbor. The “someday” projects we tuck away until the time feels right.
Long live the half-done. You’re still part of the story.
