She was given to me by my fairy craft godmother, Danielle. She picked her up at FABMO and thought of me. That alone felt like the beginning of her story.
I’ve been slowly playing with different hairstyles, trying things out without rushing. She lives on my main crafting table, always within reach. I’m letting her personality reveal itself over time, instead of deciding who she should be right away.
Projects like this completely fascinate me. I can’t help but think about all the work that went into her before she came to me. Someone started her with intention. Someone made choices, stitched, shaped, imagined. And then, for some reason, the project stopped.
Did the maker decide they didn’t like how she was turning out? Did life simply get in the way? Was there a moment where the craft room went quiet and the project was left behind?
Every unfinished piece has a story. A beginning. A pause.
Her middle will be with me.
I plan on keeping her here in the studio, watching over my work, waiting patiently for whatever comes next. If you have ideas for hairstyles or outfits, I’d love to hear them. Leave your suggestions in the comments. I think she’s listening.
